The CARDIOVASCULAR LAB, Clinical Nurse C (REGISTERED NURSE (RN)), follows the nursing process to perform simple and complex diagnostic and therapeutic invasive cardiovascular procedures for all ages of patients with cardiac dysfunction. Scrubs, circulates, and/or assists physicians, and proctors CVL staff, as designated, in performing simple and complex diagnostic, interventional, electrophysiology procedures including, but not limited to, cardiac biopsies, right and left heart catheterizations, percutaneous cardiac interventional procedures. Contributes to a work environment of caring and cooperation among a culturally diverse workforce and patient population Performs other duties as needed.
Required Education & Experience: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required. Minimum one year experience in critical care, emergency department, cardiovascular lab, or interventional radiology required. Minimum three years' experience in cardiology nursing preferred. Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license required. American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required. Other certifications as outlined in the department Plan for Providing Care.
